How Fixxr collects SMS consent
This page documents the Fixxr SMS opt-in flow for carrier and messaging-compliance reviewers, with the exact consent language and screenshots of the live pages.
Summary
Fixxr Technologies, Inc. (“Fixxr”) collects SMS consent on the public pages /login and /signup. Two separate consents are collected where the mobile number is entered:
- Sign-in verification codes. The user enters their mobile number and taps “Send code” to request one automated verification code. A disclosure directly below the form states the sender (Fixxr), the one-message-per-sign-in frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and links to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. Signing in with Google is offered as an alternative, so SMS is never a required channel.
- Repair-job updates (optional). A separate checkbox, unchecked by default, enrolls the user in transactional repair-job updates. Checking it is not a condition of creating an account, signing in, or using the service. The disclosure next to the checkbox names Fixxr as the sender and the Fixxr Repair Job Updates program, states the recurring nature, frequency, rates, STOP, and HELP, and links the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy inline.
Enrollment takes effect only after the mobile number passes verification, and each opt-in is captured at the point of collection with a timestamp, the page, the verified number, and the exact language shown. No repair-job update messages are sent until Fixxr’s durable server-side consent ledger, which will hold every opt-in and opt-out event, is live and enforced in the sending path. Mobile information and opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
The exact consent language
Checkbox label and disclosure (repair-job updates):
“Also text me repair-job updates from Fixxr (optional). By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring automated service texts from Fixxr about repair jobs I post, such as new offers, appointment confirmations, and status changes, under the Fixxr Repair Job Updates program. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. SMS Terms | Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of creating an account or using Fixxr.”
Point-of-collection disclosure (sign-in verification codes, shown under its own “Sign-in verification code” heading, separate from the checkbox above):
“By continuing you agree to receive one automated verification code from Fixxr at this number, sent separately via Twilio Verify. One message per sign-in. Message & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.”
