Fixxr Repair Job Updates SMS Terms

The terms of Fixxr Repair Job Updates, our text-messaging program: what we send, how you join, and how to stop at any time.

1. The Fixxr Repair Job Updates program

The Fixxr SMS program is operated by Fixxr Technologies, Inc. (“Fixxr,” “we,” “us”), the automotive repair marketplace at https://fixxr.repair. These SMS Terms govern the text messages Fixxr sends. They are part of our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

The program covered by these terms is called Fixxr Repair Job Updates. It sends service notifications about repair jobs you posted yourself. It sends no marketing or promotional messages of any kind.

2. What messages we send

Under the Fixxr Repair Job Updates program you receive service notifications about repair jobs you posted, for example:

  • a shop has responded to your job,
  • an appointment is confirmed,
  • a quote is ready to review,
  • the status of a job has changed, and
  • a confirmation that you joined the program.

Every message relates to your own posted jobs and your own account. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program, and we never sell or rent your number.

3. How you join (opt in)

You join by checking a separate, optional box where you enter your mobile number on https://fixxr.repair/login or https://fixxr.repair/signup. The box reads “Also text me repair-job updates from Fixxr (optional)”, names Fixxr as the sender, states the recurring nature, frequency, rates, and STOP/HELP instructions, links these SMS Terms and the Privacy Policy, and is unchecked by default.

Checking it is not a condition of creating an account, signing in, posting a job, buying anything, or using any part of the Services. Consent to receive these texts is never a condition of purchase. When you join, we text you one confirmation message.

4. Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old and be the account holder of the mobile number you enter, or have the account holder’s permission to enroll it. The program is available on US mobile numbers only. Do not enroll a number that is not yours.

5. Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your activity. Messages are sent as events happen on the repair jobs you post, so a period with no active job means no messages.

6. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your plan with your mobile carrier. Fixxr does not charge for text messages.

7. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any repair-job update to opt out. You will receive one final confirmation message and nothing after that. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT. Opting out does not affect your account, your posted jobs, or your ability to sign in.

8. How to opt back in

Reply START to re-enroll at any time. We also honor UNSTOP. You will receive the same confirmation message you got when you first joined.

10. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.

11. Your privacy

Your mobile number is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

12. Sign-in verification codes are separate

Signing in to Fixxr with your mobile number sends you a one-time verification code. Those codes are not part of the Fixxr Repair Job Updates program covered by these terms. They are delivered through a separate verification service, they are sent only when you request one (one message per sign-in attempt), and replying STOP to repair-job updates does not stop them, because they are only ever sent in response to a sign-in you started.

If you prefer not to receive verification texts at all, you can sign in with Google instead, so text messaging is never required to use Fixxr. Because a code is sent only when you request one, you can stop receiving verification texts by signing in with Google instead or simply not requesting a code.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS Terms. When we do, we change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to receive messages after an update means you accept the updated terms.
