Fixxr SMS Terms

The terms of the Fixxr text-messaging program: what we send, how consent works, and how to stop at any time.

1. The Fixxr SMS program

The Fixxr SMS program is operated by Fixxr Technologies, Inc. (“Fixxr,” “we,” “us”), the automotive repair marketplace at https://fixxr.repair. These SMS Terms govern the text messages Fixxr sends. They are part of our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. What messages we send

Fixxr sends two kinds of text messages, and only two:

  • Sign-in verification codes. When you enter your mobile number to sign in or create an account, you are asking us to text that number one automated verification code so we can confirm the number is yours. One message per sign-in attempt. If you prefer not to receive verification texts, you can sign in with Google instead, so text messaging is never required to use Fixxr.
  • Repair-job updates (optional). Service updates about repair jobs you post, for example when a shop sends you an offer, an appointment is confirmed, or a quote is ready. You receive these only if you check the separate, optional box shown where you enter your number. The box is unchecked by default, and checking it is not a condition of creating an account, signing in, posting a job, or using any part of the Services.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your activity. Verification codes are sent only when you request one, one message per sign-in attempt. Repair-job updates are sent as events happen on jobs you post.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your plan with your mobile carrier. Fixxr does not charge for text messages.

5. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any repair-job update to opt out of those updates. You will receive one final confirmation message and nothing after that. Opting out of repair-job updates does not affect your account or your ability to sign in. We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, and REVOKE.

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.

8. Your privacy

Your mobile number is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
